Generation 2819

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that i have commanded you;..." -Matthew 28:19-20

ABOUT US

Generation 2819 - is a Mentoring, Descipleship, and Outreach based ministry. Our Goal is to REACH and IMPACT as many kids and individuals as God brings into our path. Everyday the number of hurting, neglected, and abused children increase. That means that there is a growing urgency to help them! "We are reaching this generation to help them reach their fullest potential in Christ."

Whether this child is in a great Christ centered family that connects perfectly or is part of a "dis-functional" family  we believe there is ALWAYS a need of an outside mentor. Every child is getting INFLUENCED and is connecting with someone...the question is, is this a Godly connection that will lead this child down the right road?

If you are a parent or have experienced parenting you know that sometimes there are issues that your child WILL NOT discuss with you (Girlfriends, drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, and others). They ARE being discussed and your child IS getting advice from somewhere and there needs to be a Godly, positive, and "seasoned mentor" in this child's life.

Many times a child feels as though he/she has absolutely no connection with their parents. This child is in DESPERATE need of a "Mentor."

Having the unique opportunity to work with foster children, through God's All The Way House, i have been able to see the horrific process that they have to go through. They are NORMAL CHILDREN!!! they have two ears, two eyes, ten toes and fingers just like you and me! they have feelings, beating hearts, and souls just like you and me! When there mom or dad tells them they don't love them, directly or indirectly by there actions, they HURT! I try to put myself in their shoes but i can't...I can't imagine the pain they carry. I can't imagine how much it hurts when they are REJECTED by everyone!

Another example is when they are not rejected by their families but instead are seperated from their home when the family cannot afford to transport them to school...when both parents have lost their job and can't afford to pay for food. add a little drugs and alcohol on top of it and BAMM!! you have "foster children"! "broken"..."Hurting"..."Seperated."

How do we as a community fix this problem???

with the economy the way it is? I dont know all of the answers ...but i know it starts with sharing Jesus' unconditional love. By helping them understand that God has NOT and NEVER will reject them.  Not putting a band-aid over it. Not by talking about it. But by actively sacrificing to meet this DESPERATE need! I heard a profound statement..."If you want to help there are only two things you can offer...your MONEY or your TIME...and we would apreciate your prayers too."  -Matt N.

This is not aimed directly at the "Foster Child" population. The problem doesn't start when a child has entered states custody...the problem starts ALOT earlier. Lets not let our kids fall through the cracks. Lets not let them become victims of HURT and REJECTION and LOSS OF SELF-WORTH. Lets "Believe in them", be their life coach, and lets help them DEVELOPE a RELATIONSHIP with their CREATOR.

-VISION-

We believe this generation has a high calling. a calling to be crazy for the Creator. You can observe this just by watching our youth. They serve radically and fearfully. you see 12 and 13 year old youth serve there God more than you see most adults. When asked what he sees in his future, one 13 yr old student said, "I want to tell people about Jesus, spend time with them and let them know that no matter what they have done Jesus still loves them, and to show them what it means to be a real Christian who loves Christ." This calling upon this kids life is the same calling that God has put in us all when he said to go and make disciples of all the nations, baptize them, and teach them (Matthew 28:19-20)
We believe what we see in Galations 5:16 when in tells us if we walk in the Spirit we will not fulfill the desires of our flesh.
We believe that just like in acts 4 that we are to walk together and to help each other. It says in verse 32 "Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common."

"We are reaching this generation to help them reach their fullest potential in Christ."
